What Our President-Elect Does
The president-elect is prepared to assume the office of president or temporarily act in that position at any time. The president-elect is familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the president as well as the duties of the other elected officers and committee chairpersons.
The president-elect’s ongoing responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the president to develop the strategy, plan, budget and mission/vision for the chapter.
- Oversee the activities and progress of the various committees and programs.
- Work closely with the president in preparation for own term as serving as president.
- Work with the president to ensure acquisition of skills and knowledge to make a smooth transition to president the following year.
- Oversee any committee issues or questions that seem to be in dispute.
- Work closely with the president to develop leaders from within the membership and committees to create a consistent source of leadership.
