Program Description

Want to incorporate somatics* and the body more into your coaching sessions, and just don’t know how? Do you have some sense of how embodiment and physiology show up in your coaching session and are unsure on how to access it? Join veteran Embodiment Educator, Leadership Coach and Conflict Resolution Consultant, Stephen Kotev for an interactive and practical look at how to evoke awareness through Somatics. Beginners to longtime students of somatics are all welcome to share, learn and practice these valuable skills!!!

*Somatics is the study of the living body in its fullness.


Learning Objectives

-To provide a basic overview of how Somatics can be used to improve awareness and thus the overall effectiveness of coaching sessions. 

-To assist the participants to identify the ICF Core Competencies that emphasize and encourage the use of somatics in their coaching sessions.

-To provide the opportunity to practice, reflect upon, and receive feedback on the skills and techniques presented in this session.


About the Presenter

Stephen Kotev, has dedicated over thirty years to the practice and study of Conflict Resolution, Coaching and Somatics. He is sought out by Corporate, Government and Non-Profit clients for his insight, warmth, and shoulder-to-shoulder commitment to their success.  Stephen is one of the few practitioners that sits at the nexus of leadership coaching, conflict resolution and embodiment and is known for his practical, engaging and highly interactive style informed by his study of Aikido, Embodied Peacemaking, Men’s Work, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Somatic Abolitionism, and mythopoetic explorations. He serves as a leadership coach, conflict resolution consultant, mediator, embodiment educator, trainer, and facilitator.
