Relational Trauma & the Brain: Practical Insights for Coaches
Presented by Ursula Pottinga, CPCC, PCC
Program Description
Join neuroscience, leadership and coaching expert Ursula Pottinga for a fascinating look at Coaching, Relational Trauma & Neuroscience. Surprisingly, often clients may come to coaching carrying patterns shaped by difficult or harmful relationships—past or present. These experiences can influence trust, decision-making, boundaries, and how clients show up in life and work. In this webinar, we’ll look at what neuroscience tells us about relational trauma and how to recognize the impact on individuals you may be coaching. We’ll also look at we can do as coaches to support those affected.
Learning Objectives:
In this session, you will:
-Understand the neuroscience behind relational trauma and its impact on behavior.
-How to recognize the signs of relational trauma in a client.
-How neuroscience can help us understand behaviors of both those who cause relational trauma and those affected by it.
-The critical impact of education for both practitioner and client.
-What’s different about coaching in this area.
-Explore coaching approaches that help clients build resilience, agency, and healthier relational patterns.
This session is designed for coaches who want to deepen their awareness, expand their neuroscience-informed toolkit, and hold space for clients with greater understanding and care.
