Coaching Dojo

Welcome to the ICF Metro DC Coach Dojo!

The ICF Metro DC Coach Dojo creates a space for members pursuing their coaching credentials, as well as, ACC or PCC-certified coaches, to practice core coaching skills, exchange meaningful feedback, and turn reflection into actionable learning. We look forward to learning, growing, and developing together!

Join co-leaders and chapter members Rana and Anita for this enriching experience. During a session, you can expect:

You will be invited to practice specific coaching competencies;
You will practice in dyads or triads in online breakout rooms;
Co-leaders will solicit feedback at the end of each session to improve the experience of the coaching dojo; and
ACC Bar markers are used as the evaluation markers to align with the updated changes in ICF coaching credentials.

In Fall/Winter 2026, Coaching dojo sessions will take place from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:

October 21
November 18
December 9

Participation is limited to fifteen coaches. Please honor your registration; if your plans change and you can no longer attend, kindly notify the co-leaders so your spot can be given to somebody on the waitlist.

ABOUT the co-leaders

Rana ElDeeb, PhD, PCC is an executive and leadership coach, consultant, and facilitator with nearly two decades of international experience in leadership development, coaching, learning and development, and HR consulting. She has coached and advised leaders and organizations across the United States, Canada, and the Middle East, and has worked with organizations including Microsoft, Rice University’s Doerr Institute for New Leaders, and the American University of Beirut Executive Education.

Rana is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation and holds a Professional Coaching Diploma from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid. She holds a PhD in Human Resources Management and a Master’s degree in Quality Management in HR. Her leadership executive education includes the Women and Power Program at Harvard Kennedy School, and she is certified in Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360).

Through her coaching and consulting work, Rana supports leaders in strengthening leadership effectiveness, navigating transitions, developing teams, and building capabilities for sustained organizational impact.

Anita Crawford-Murphy, ACC is an accomplished leadership coach, organizational development leader, and DEI strategist with over three decades of distinguished service in the federal government. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her visionary and inclusive leadership, workforce engagement, strategic acumen, and ability to lead and drive business transformation.

As an expert in organizational development, Anita now runs her private practice specializing in leadership coaching, facilitation, mentoring, and motivational speaking. She has delivered high-energy keynotes and workshops on topics such as learning strategy and evaluation, leadership development, coaching, and DEI strategy and implementation. Anita’s coaching approach centers on uncovering hidden strengths and callings to guide clients toward their highest level of contribution.

She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Learning and Knowledge Management, a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, and a Certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-Being—all from George Mason University in Virginia. Anita also holds the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation.
