What is this?
Nature & Outdoor Coaching Community of Practice presents:
Sound and Soundscapes in Nature Coaching
Join the Nature & Outdoor Coaching Community of Practice to learn about soundwalks and how to incorporate them into your coaching.
"The essential purpose of a soundwalk is to encourage the participant to listen discriminately and moreover, to make critical judgment about the sounds heard and their contribution to the balance or imbalance of the sonic environment” (
https://www.
hildegardwesterkamp.ca/sound/
installations/Nada/soundwalk/
).
Sound walks can be done in nature or in the city. Each of us is part of the soundscape, the collection of sounds that are all around us. Notice the distances of noises; your contribution to the soundscape; your desire or lack thereof to contribute to the soundscape.
This is yet another way to help your clients become more aware of their thinking, feeling and being.
Add this tool to your nature-based coaching toolbox!
This session will be facilitated by Jennifer Wills, ACC, Founder of J. Wills Coaching and creator of Nature Roaming™ and the Roam. Connect. Grow.™ method.
